Hi I'm Gordon Webb I run quizes on a Sunday morning in the High Street Social Club in Blyth Northumberland. It's not a serious quiz I only do it for a bit of fun.I enjoy it and usually have a good laugh though you sometimes get the odd one who takes it to seriously. But they usually get jeered at by everyone else and leave embarrassed.

It was good to see a few more quizmsters sending info to the site, for me over here to be able to filter & pull out anything which is not totaly UK based helps.  | supasyd wrote on Jun 30, '07 Hi Gordon Just like you I do a quiz that is meant to be fun and not to be taken too seriously we normally have five or six teams of 4 or 5 people but in the summer (being a seaside town) we get the odd group of visitors who can make it up to 7 or 8 teams Anyway the other night the good lady was at a darts presentation night and I had a walk for a pint and called into a pub near home that I never use and lo and behold they were having a quiz night the venue is smaller than the place I work from and blow me they had 8 teams all crammed in and the quiz was 50 (FIFTY) questions on Pirates (As in robbery on the high seas) I (on my own) scored 19 the winning team scored 47 and the joint 2nd and 3rd both got 45 now here comes the best bit there were only 2 prizes 1st team got 2 yes 2 pints and the second got 1 pint but as there were 2 winners they got half a pint each I must be doing something wrong somewhere Keep up the good work mate |
